St. Joseph's Cathedral
-Tagbilaran City -the only cathedral in the city. It is named after the patron
for laborers, St. Joseph. The parish is the seat of the Diocese of Tagbilaran. The
original church was burned on December 23, 1798. It was reconstructed and enlarged
by Fr. Valero de San Pascual in 1839-1855.Various
improvements have been made due to the efforts of the different parish priests
assigned in the diocese.

SANDUGO
FESTIVAL- Tagbilaran City (July
16-21) - The annual spectacular festival featuring an
agro-industrial fair, cultural and historical shows, sports events, beauty pageant, balls
and dances, entertainment shows and street dancing w/c culminates in the re-enactment of
the blood compact or "SANDUGO" of Datu Sikatuna and Don Miguel Lopez de Legaspi.
The Bohol Sandugo Foundation was created to supervise the management of the affair.

Blood Compact on March 16, 1565 is considered as the first "treaty of

Chocolate
Hills - one of the world's natural wonders. Consist of 1268 haycock hills
with height ranging from 40 to 120 meters. The dome-shaped hills look much more
of chocolate kisses during summer when hills dry up and turn chocolaty brown.

Museum - Once the home of former President Carlos P.
Garcia (4th Pres. of the Phil. Republic) and his family. Displays the memorabilia of
the late Pres. and his family, with old relics as well as native artifacts, plus shell
collections from Bohol's shores.

Baclayon Church ( six
kms. from Tagbilaran City) - The country's oldest stone church built by the Jesuits
in 1595.The century old structure stands still with evident ancient architectural design.
A museum beside the church displays an array of old religious relics and artifacts that
describes the antiquity of the church.
